Christmas in Antigua
Well what can i say another Christmas done and dusted, all that hard work for months in advance then suddenly the presents have been opened the turkey and cake eaten and that's it!
It's been a nice one this year as we have had family around, Ethel, David, Janine, Lloyd and Ethan and other than the mosiqitos and sand flies they have all had a great time and enjoyed their Christmas in the sun.
Saying that though Christmas in the sun is a funny affair when you've spent most of them in the UK. They are no dreary, cold nights with a light drizzle in the air, pictures of santa and snowmen look remarkably out of place and well it just doesn't feel right. There is a certain smell in the air in the UK a happy anticipation of the upcoming holiday, smiles on peoples faces and rushing to get the last minute shopping done. Out here in the sun there is none of that and consequently it just doesn't feel right, no last minute shopping bargains or the other litle treats that make Christmas well Christmas. Not that it hasn't been loads of fun mind you especially with having guests out, but i have to say i think we'll be back in the UK for next Christmas just because you can't beat a UK Christmas.
Hope everyone had a really good Christmas and i will post pictures soon, i promise.
